GGBCF Impact Investing
The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation is exploring a new way of investing in its community.
GGBCF Impact Investing is a fund that uses charitable assets to make catalytic investments in projects and business opportunities that produce both a social benefit and achieve a financial return. Those returns are recycled and reinvested in new opportunities over time.
The Community Foundation is looking to invest between $100,000 to $300,000 in up to 3 projects, likely through debt capital with accommodated terms.
This pilot will fund projects in Brown, Kewaunee, and Oconto counties focused on one of these four critical areas:
- Affordable Housing: Ensuring all members of our community have safe, stable housing.
- Education: Providing high quality education and vocational opportunities, so all people can succeed.
- Healthcare: Delivering high quality care to all members of our community by expanding availability and increasing cultural competencies among providers.
- Economic Opportunities/Stability: Supporting opportunities for small minority owned businesses that foster growth and self-sufficiency, and supports workforce challenges such as unemployment, skills, affordable childcare, and transportation.
