Dana Schultz, Executive Director – Wisconsin Voices
Dana Schultz is the Executive Director at Wisconsin Voices, the 501c3 state table in Wisconsin, where she leads a network of over 60 progressive organizations. In her role, Dana manages the backbone organization for collective impact on civic and voter engagement. Dana’s background is in community organizing, designing collective impact programs, and applying values –based messaging to issues in order to cut through the chatter and help an issue campaign reach the hearts of the target audience. She specializes in coalition facilitation and anchoring groups in shared outcomes and a common agenda. Dana has been working with a variety of individuals, organizations, and entire coalitions on strategic planning and building infrastructure for the progressive movement. Dana has a B.A. in Political Science and Communications with a Masters in Political Science.

In this presentation Dana will discuss:

  • Nonprofits can and should be involved in the voting process
  • Do’s and Don’ts for nonprofits in elections
  • Examples of nonprofits doing civic engagement in the election process
  • How to make a plan for your nonprofit to get out the vote this year
